| About Our Business After visiting several Bed & Breakfasts, Larry & Cheryl Moran decided to become Innkeepers bringing you, the best of their experiences. Whispering Sisters is located in the beautiful Black Moshannon Valley in Philipsburg,Pa. The community has a rich history of the railroad, the commodity of coal, Civil War encampments, millionaires, and the first church in the nation with electrical lighting. Our Innkeepers, Cheryl & Irella, are anxious to make your stay with us special! Our Inn rooms are named for each of the WHISPERING SISTERS. The decor radiates the personality of the special sister. Krista, is the witty one. She loves magnolias and flirts with fun. Tracy is the sister who is the survivor. She has endured many challenges and "keeps on keeping on". She ate so little as a child, that she picked up the nickname,"Bird". Mary is the peace keeper. She is soft, sweet, and does what it takes to prevent "upset". Kaycie, is the self-assured sister. She is as strong as the calla lilies that enhance her room! Sandra, is the baby sister of the eldest generation. Though she was the youngest, she had a tough time of it. She is known to many as, "Mom, Grandma, and Friend". Sandra is the owner's Mother and right hand adviser! Come and hear what the other sisters, Gianna, Valerie, Bertha, Nina, & Cheryl, are whispering about. Our Bed & Breakfast is in Centre County and is located near public golfing, theatre, state parks, and shopping. We accept Weddings, Retirement Parties, Showers, Retreats, CEO meetings, Training Events, and boast of an Executive Apartment. Altoona (31 miles), Happy Valley / Penn State University / Bryce Jordon Center / State College, Pa. (24 miles). Whispering Sisters is a destination, not just a room. Lo-carb friendly upon request! Nice for Honeymoon or Penn State Homecoming stay! The Executive Apartment is $875 per month. Private entrance. This is a furnished 2-3 bedroom apartment with private bath, den, and kitchen. The kitchen is tastefully decorated as a Trattoria and is equipped for small meal preparation. Laundry on-site. Wireless computer service and fax available in the Main Kitchen. Daily maid service and daily breakfast is NOT included. Weekly rental is $550. Add $50 extra per guest over 2 for a weekly rental & $100 per guest extra over 2 for monthly rentals.
